Crystal Lake-Michael A. Orcutt, 36, of Crystal Lake passed away February 24, 2013.
He was born March 15, 1976 in Chicago to Allen and Regine (Sand) Orcutt. He attended the University of Illinois and resided in Champaign for many years.
Mikey Boy was a loving and devoted son and brother. He was known to his nieces and Goddaughter as "Unkie Orkie." Mike was a diehard Bears and Cubs fan. He was also one of Walter "The Sweetness" Payton's biggest fans. He loved to cook, could barbecue better than anyone, and loved to watch cooking shows.
Mike is survived by his parents, Allen and Regine Orcutt; his sisters, Nicole (Darin) Drilling and Sabrina Orcutt; nieces, Amalia and Adela; his Goddaughter, Lilly Doughty; maternal grandmother, Marianne Peschel; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Orcutt; his aunts, Karen (Robert) Adamitis and Marion (Edgar) Pichardt; and several other extended family members and friends.
A memorial gathering will be from 3 to 6pm on Saturday, March 2 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The memorial service will be at 4:30pm.
