Mildred (Kron) Alms, 87, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Heritage Center. She was born August 24, 1923.
She retired from the Evansville School Corporation. She was a member of the Altar Guild at Trinity Lutheran Church in Evansville and VFW Post # 1114 Ladies Auxiliary.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Oscar J. Alms.
She is survived by her sons, Richard and Randall and wife Kathy Alms; daughter, Karen Sue Alms; step granddaughter, Katie Mull; step great-granddaughter, Alyse, all of Evansville; sister, Helen Kahre; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor Martin Noland, with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
