Mildred B. Griffin, 85, passed away Monday, January 07, 2013 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 11 a.m., at Baptist Gospel Mission with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. W. C. Bloodworth and Brother Bill Bates will officiate. The family will meet friends from 5 – 7 p.m., Wednesday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Memorial contributions may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210.
Mrs. Griffin, wife of the late Arthur M. Griffin, was born in Greenville, SC the daughter of the late Fletcher and Mamie Bledsoe. She was a devoted homemaker and was a member of Baptist Gospel Mission.
Survivors include her sons, James (Rita Faye) Griffin of Gray and Fletcher (Sharon) Griffin of Shelbyville, TN and Edward (Kathy) Griffin of Gray; her daughters, Marie (Grady) Sanders of Gordon and Susie (Ricky) Burton of Etowah, NC; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; her brothers, Jack Bledsoe and Bill Bledsoe and several nieces and nephews.
