Millard "Moe" Gordon Mullally 85, of Depot Street, Marlborough, NH, died April 25, 2013 at the Cheshire Medical Center / Dartmouth Hitchcock, Keene, NH, following a period of failing health.
He was born in Keene, NH, June 12, 1927, the son of Millard B. and Irene (Arsenault) Mullally. A life long resident of Marlborough, he was a graduate of Marlborough High School.
He was a Navy Seaman First Class serving during World War II.
Mr. Mullally owned and operated Moe's Oil Company in Marlborough for over 25 years. He later worked in custodial services for the Keene School District until his retirement.
He especially enjoyed spending his summers at his home on Silver Lake in Harrisville. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes, playing cards with his friends, and reading.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 819 of St. Bernard Church in Keene, and a member of the Croteau-Coutts Post 24 American Legion in Marlborough.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Catherine T. (Burke) Mullally of Marlborough; a son, Michael G. Mullally and his wife, Melissa, of Keene; a daughter, Susan E. Bobbin and her husband, Joseph, of Sullivan, NH; seven grandchildren, Amanda Dillon, Ryan Bourke, Casey Bourke, Jared Bobbin, Brittany Mullally, Jeremy Sheldon, Bailee Mullally; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Robert E. Bourke, and a brother, Russell Mullally.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:00AM in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Granite Street, Marlborough. There are no public calling hours.
