Miriam D. Helton, 87, of Rocky Point, NC went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 26, 2012.
Miriam was born on June 16, 1925 in New Hanover County, daughter of the late Hugh Tyler and Cora Lee Stone Tyler.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joe Helton and three sisters.
She was a member of Castle Hayne Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Miriam is survived by her children, Patricia Williamson of Rocky Point, Joanne Bryan of Castle Hayne, and Alvin and his wife Julie Helton of Castle Hayne; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; as well as her sister, Shirley Stephenson.
The visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Coble Ward Smith Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28411.
