Mitchell Anderson age 94 of White House, TN passed away on February 5, 2013 at Hendersonville Medical Center following complications from pneumonia. Born in Clay County, TN on March 24, 1918, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Blanche (Attkisson) Anderson, grandson Marty Anderson; 3 sisters, Dally, Oleen and Avereen and 2 brothers, Willie and Sampson; and a niece, Kevi Lusty. He is survived by his wife, Lois Fields Anderson; 2 sons, Delma (Sherry) Anderson, Roy (Sandra) Anderson; 2 sisters, Francis and Kathleen; 3 grandchildren, Carol (Joel) Kitchens, Jimmy (Karen) Anderson, Kim Hill; a beloved niece Penny (John) Matlick; 9 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, 7 step children and numerous step grandchildren. Mr. Anderson was a veteran who served in the U.S. Navy in the second World War. He retired as a millworker from Chilton's Millwork in Nashville, TN. Mr. Anderson was a homebody and he loved everybody. He had the sweetest disposition and kindest heart of any man you would ever meet and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He had a special fondness for children and little dogs. His latest, a black toy poodle named Star was his constant companion. He attended New Hope Church of Christ and would have been 95 years old on March 24, 2013. Funeral service will be conducted by Frank Matherley of New Hope Church of Christ on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 3:00 PM, with visitation from 11:00 – 3:00 prior to the service on Thursday at Forest Lawn Funeral Chapel.
