Modesto Alcantara, 77, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2009, at Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno, CA.
He was a retired custodian at Fresno Unified School District.
Mr. Alcantara is survived by his wife, Antonina Alcantara; daughters, Anabella Duka and Joscelyn Roa; sons, Marchito Alcantara and Wenefredo Alcantara; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitations will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 5:30 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 6:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday, November 14, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
