Dallas – Moses Henderson Boyter, Jr., 61, of Dallas died September 17, 2012 at his residence.
A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late Moses and Idell Boyter.
Mr. Boyter was an ordained deacon and member of Holland Memorial Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia May Boyter of the home; children, Angela Boyter of Ranlo, Katherine Walker of Gastonia, Moses Boyter III of Stanley, Joshua Boyter of Dallas; brother Michael Boyter of Gastonia; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rossie Gene and sisters, Dolores Dalton, Jacqueline Shelton and Elizabeth White.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Holland Memorial Baptist Church in Bessemer City with Pastor Jim Sawyer officiating.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Gardens in Mt Holly.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Dallas Funeral Home.
