ARTER – Myrtle, 89, of Port Orchard, passed away
peacefully Tuesday, June 07, 2011 with her two daughters
and son at her side. She was active in the church her
entire adult life, and was a member of St. Erasmus
Anglican Church in Burley, and frequently visited St.
Charles Anglican Church in Poulsbo. Myrtle enjoyed
knitting, crocheting, and creating crafts for friends and
family, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. To know
her was to love her, for she touched the life of everyone
she knew. She was preceded in death by Elmer, her loving
husband of 63 years. She is survived by her children,
Carrie, Catherine and Elmer, and their spouses. Her seven
grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren were her
pride and joy. A memorial service will be held Friday,
June 10, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Charles Anglican
Church, 20295 Little Valley Rd. NE, in Poulsbo; followed
by a 3:00 p.m. interment service at Miller Woodlawn
Memorial Park, 5505 Kitsap Way, Bremerton. In lieu of
flowers, Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Kitsap
County, POB 3416, Silverdale, WA.
