I remember Myrt as a Godly woman, but full of sass and vinegar! She helped so many and was always ready with a word of guidance, as she gave to me in a my time of need. My family is saddened by her passing, as she will be so greatly missed by those that loved her, but can take comfort in knowing she is with the Lord.

My mother Clara Mae Heaton was a cousin to Myrtle Ruth. I have heard so many good stories about Myrtle Ruth and her siblings through the years and I myself only knew her through a couple of meetings with her. I know she will be missed by her family and am so sorry to hear of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families who will miss her deeply. She was truly a great lady that I loved the minute I met her.

I was saddened to hear of Myrtle's passing. I loved her as my second childhood mom. As an adult I enjoyed visiting with her. I picture my parents welcoming her with open arms. I like the vision of all of them being whole and not sick. I've been ill and couldn't come to the funeral. I would have like to have seen the family.

Our deepest condolence to the Family of my precious Aunt Myrt Griffin. I have beautiful memories - one that I shared with Sonny - when they first married - when I would be visiting grandma Blasingame would walk to visit with them - was about half mile, on a sandy dirt road......would enjoy my visit - one of Myrt's favorite things she enjoyed making was an Ice Box Lime Pie -there are so many beautiful memories, and I can go down memory lane and recapture those beautiful memories, and smile with loving thoughts. God Blessed me with having such a wonderful family, and I am so blessed she was part of my life. I loved Myrt so much and will miss her, but she is now in a wonderful place with our Lord and Love Ones. Her suffering has ceased, and I hope you and family will fine some comfort in knowing she is in a better place. Love to all and forever,

So Sorry for the loss of such a sweet person. Comfort comes from knowing she is whole again and it a better place.

I was remembering the time I stayed with Uncle Sonny and Aunt Mert when I moved from Denton back to Houston looking for a job. There are other memories.....the love and care they gave to Mom when she lived in Galena Park and who could forget their family coming to gather singing praises to The Lord..... how uplifting this was. My only wish they were able to have sung at Moms funeral. Aunt Mert is the last sibling of Moms family they are all gathered again in heaven and what a home coming that must be. Love to the family.
