Norman L. Barker, 90, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011 at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach, FL.
Born in Henderson, NY and was a former resident of Eastport and Center Moriches, NY, moving to Spanish Lakes Fairways in Fort Pierce, FL, 20 years ago.
Prior to retirement, he was an accountant with the Beacon Milling Company for 44 years in Eastport, NY. He was a volunteer for the Eastport Fire Dept. for many years and was an active member of the East End Democratic club. He attended the Lakewood Park United Methodist Church.
Survivors include, wife of 58 years, Jean Barker, daughters, Cindy Lee Anniballi and husband, Mark of Boca Raton, FL , Linda Mockridge and Kenneth of Center Moriches, NY, son Timothy Barker and wife Michele, of Port St. John, FL, three grandchildren, Kenneth, Brianne and Timothy, 5 great grandchildren, Kendall, Kirston, Devon, Jake and Hannah. He was predeceased by his parents Foy and Lillian Barker, sister Jane Mohr and brother Robert Ace Barker.
Memorial contributions may be made to the H.A.L.O. Animal Rescue 710 Jackson St. Sebastian, FL 32958.
A memorial service will be held at the Lakewood Park United Methodist Church at 5405 Turnpike Feeder Road Fort Pierce, FL on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 11:00am. A luncheon will follow at the Church.
