Nancy Lee Albright passed away on November 21, 2010 at Sunrise of Raleigh after a long illness. She was born on September 27, 1931 in Bristol, Connecticut and grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. She graduated from Goucher College in Baltimore, MD, and later received her Masters of Library Science Degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. She worked in libraries in Virginia and New Jersey before coming to Raleigh, where she worked in the Genealogical Services Branch of the North Carolina State Library for 26 years.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Stephen; four children: James and Hugh of Raleigh, Thomas and wife Sandy of Burnaby, BC, and Joanne and husband Tim Hayes of Fayetteville: and two grandchildren: Kimberley Hayes of Durham, and Michael Hayes and wife Elyse of Raleigh.
The family would like thank Hospice of Wake County for their care of Lee.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00pm Monday, November 29th at St. Raphael Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Atrium at St. Raphael.
