Nancy Morton Equils, 68, left this world and joined her Lord, February 20, 2013. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her son, Mike Anderson and wife Tara of Vanceboro; her daughter, Melisa Anderson and fiance' David Nichols of New Bern; five grandchildren, Geoffrey Weston, Kaleb Weston, Karlee Anderson, Colby Anderson and her "munchkin" Colin Anderson, two brothers, M.D. Morton, Jr. and wife Jan of Orlando, FL; Ed Morton and wife Jean of Kinston, five sisters, Joan Arnold and husband Johnny, Mollie Tripp and husband James, Scarlett Nay, Susie Baldree and husband Rex, Linda Hill and husband Larry, all of New Bern; and lots of wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by a very special friend, James Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Libbie Morton and one sister, Peggy Dixon and her husband Jimmy.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Cotton Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the funeral home, followed by burial at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
