Narda Silva Holland, of College Station entered into rest on January 13, 2013. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Interment will follow at the Memorial Cemetery of College Station.
Mrs. Holland was born May 20, 1955 in Anthony, Texas, the daughter of Jesus and Maria (Correa) Silva. She was a graduate of New Mexico State University earning a Bachelor of Social Work. Mrs. Holland investigated child abuse cases for the State of New Mexico, was Resident Service Director at Crestview, Regional Director of Housing with Methodist Retirement Communities and most recently the Executive Director at the Bryan Housing Authority.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Maria Silva; and a brother Van Silva.
Survivors include her husband, William J. Holland; children, Lewis Holland and his wife Jessica, Billie Holland, and Jason Holland; sisters, Otilia Sanchez, Wilma Martinez, Cathy Zertuche, and Rose Ruckel; brother, Joe Silva; and her mother and father-in-law, Agnes and Lewis Holland.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
