Stead, Nelson Charles
Passed away peacefully at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Tuesday December 11, 2012, age 62 years. Nelson was an O.P.P. Police officer for ten years prior to being a financial planner. He was also a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Kitchener.
Loving husband of Margaret (nee Wade). Dear father of Michele Freele (Robert), Michael Taite, David Stead and Geoffrey Stead(Tara Richardson).
Grandfather of Cory, Xander, Austin, Sophie, Connor and Liam and two Great-grandchildren.
Nelson is also survived by a sister Linda.
Predeceased by a son, Matthew; his parents, Nelson and Ruth; a brother, Richard and a sister, Patricia.
Mr. Stead's family will receive friends and relatives at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton (at Church St.), Kitchener on Thursday from 7-9 pm. and Friday from 2-4, 7-9 pm.
Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday December 15, 2012 at 11:00am with Rev. David Stead and Rev. David Malina officiating.
Interment: Woodland Cemetery.
