Neva C. Anderson, 79, of Columbus, died at 12:54 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Anderson had been a teacher in Terre Haute Schools, Indianapolis Public School System and Fairlawn Presbyterian Preschool in Columbus. She was a graduate of Indiana State University, with a degree in elementary education.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and Delta Gamma Sorority.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, with Pastor Larry Isbell officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or First Lutheran Church Foundation.
Born in Terre Haute May 3, 1932, Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of Everett and Alda Magnetta Thompson. She married Elmer "Andy" Anderson Feb. 20, 1955, in Terre Haute.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Bruce Anderson of Columbus, Brock (Carol) Anderson of Topeka, IN and Brian (Jackie) Anderson of Terre Haute, IN; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Brian Anderson.
