Norvene was born April 18, 1913, on Pilot Knob Ranch near Killeen to Aaron and Ruby Cramer. Later they moved to Winters, where she graduated from high school. She attended Abilene Christian College and married L. Allen Adams in 1935. They were married for 67 years before he passed away in August 2002.
Theirs was a very special relationship and an example of a lasting love. They lived in East Texas and Baytown before moving to Fort Worth. Although primarily a homemaker, she was also the bookkeeper for the family business, Adams Auto Salvage, and an outstanding teacher of Bible classes for children and teenage girls. They were charter members of Meadowbrook Church of Christ and most recently she was a member of Lakewood Village Church of Christ. She loved photography and painting and did portraits of many family members as well as writing memorable poetry. After her faith, her family was the focus of her life and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren have special memories of time spent with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; a brother; and husband, Allen Adams.
