Erlene Carter, Hurricane
Onis Erlene Carter, age 83, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at her residence. She was a retired caregiver. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her pets.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, July 29, 2011 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Ervin officiating; burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter: Onice Fay Carter; two sons: Marlton Atlee Carter and Bobby Wayne Carter (Penny) all of Hurricane, MS; three grandchildren: Adam Wayne Carter, Eric Thomas Carter and Johnathan Cody Carter.
She was preceded in death by her parents: James Nathan Robbins and Naomi Sneed Robbins; her siblings: Cuple Dillard, Donald L. Robbins, Oren D. Robbins, and two infant siblings; and a beloved sister-in-law: Elaine Robbins.
Pallbearers will be: Lynn Robbins, Laine Robbins, Johnathan Carter, Ray Dillard, Adam Carter and Eric Carter.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Thursday and from 9 to 11 AM Friday at the funeral home.
