Opal Marie Adkins, 85, of Louisville, passed away at Jewish Hospital on Monday, December 5, 2011.
Opal was preceded in death by her husband, James Adkins; daughters, Barbara Adkins and Linda Sanders; parents, Willie and Martha Taylor; and siblings, Ulcie Taylor and Arvil Taylor.
Opal is survived by her son, James Adkins; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, James Taylor (Jerry), Edith Miller (Kenneth), and Mable Vaughn.
There will be a visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Okolona. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. CST at Pellyton Cemetery in Pellyton, KY on Friday, December 9, 2011 for a graveside service.
