BARDONNER, Pamela Julie, 50, of Richmond, went to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, January 12, 2013, after being hospitalized for 24 days. She was born on September 10, 1962 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father, W. John Bardonner. She is survived by her mother, Janet; brother, Randy of Richmond; and sister, Beth of Cedar Falls, Iowa. Pam was to be married to Gary M. Carlton of Richmond, July 20, 2013.
Pam formerly lived in New Concord and graduated from John Glen High School. She earned degrees from Kenyon College in Ohio and a Master's from VCU. She was a second grade teacher at Patrick Copeland Elementary School in Hopewell, Va. Pam and her dog, Buddy, belonged to Chesterfield Co. Library "Reading to Rover" program. They also were members with the "Caring Canines Therapy Dog Group". Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2315 N. Parham Road. Viewing one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Kenyon College Scholarship and Financial Aid Fund, Gambier, Ohio.
