Patricia Ann (Johnson) Warren, 78, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Abilene. Funeral services will be 2:00p.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be this evening, Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Patricia was born on May 23, 1936 to Ira Johnson, Sr. and Lillie Mae Stevens. She loved fishing, playing cards, and playing bingo. Patricia worked as a foster grandparent at the Abilene State Supported Living Center for 15 years and also won the Grandparent of the Year Award during her service there. She had also worked as a trainer at U.S. Brass for 27 years. Patricia was a member of New Fellowship Baptist Church and had many close friends in our community.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother, Ira Johnson, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Edward Warren; sons, Ronald Thomas and wife, Doris, and Michael Montgomery; her grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Ronald Thomas (Melissa), Dorian Montgomery, Giles Montgomery (Whitney), and Kacey Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Akearha, Greyson, and Wylie Montgomery, and Nikko and Jace Thomas; and numerous friends.
