Patsy A. Desimone, 87, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at Veterans Hospital. A life resident of Syracuse, Patsy worked for McMillian Book Company as a printer and he also worked as a bus driver for Laidlaw. Mr. Desimone's true passion was volunteering as a driver for the Veterans Hospital in which he received an award for driving over 10,000 miles. A veteran of United States Marine Corp, Patsy served his country during WWII. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing on Oneida Lake. He was predeceased by his wife, Carmella "Kirks" Desimone.
Survivors include his son, David M. (Francie) Desimone of Bernards Bay; beloved grandson, David M. Desimone, II of Syracuse; great-grandson, Michael Desimone; longtime companion, Patricia Moro; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 12 noon at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash Street, Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. An hour of visitation will be held prior to the funeral mass on Monday from 11 a.m. – 12 noon at the church.
