Mr. Paul Millard "P.M." Adams, 82, of Gadsden (Black Creek Community), went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 12, 2012.
P.M. was born on March 20, 1930, to his parents, Millard and Sallie Adams. He was employed by Flowers Bakery for over 40 years. On Dec. 29, 1950, he married his devoted wife of 62 years, Mrs. Jane Adams. P.M. and Jane were lifelong members of Black Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Sallie Adams; and his brother, James Adams.
P.M. is survived by his wife, Jane Adams; daughter, Paula (Phillip) Sitz, of Gadsden; grandsons, Seth (Emily) Sitz, of McCalla, Brett Sitz and fiancée Kayla Savage, of Birmingham; sisters, Jo (Skeet) Cochran, Genny Sanders and Ruth Minton; also, his beloved pet, Dudley.
A special thanks to Dr. Wilborn and Nurse Pam.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Foster, Tommy Lewis, Calvin Sanders, Stanley Adams, Euell Adams, John Blackwell and Keith Cochran.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Black Creek Men's Sunday School class.
Visitation will be at Collier-Butler Funeral Home from 5 to 7 this evening.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Black Creek Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Chris Connell and the Rev. Gary Williams will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
