Paul Michael Barnes, 17, died Saturday, January 1, 2011, in a local hospital.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur where he attended Sulphur High School. Paul, loved to hunt and fish, was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include his parents, Robert and Robyn Barnes; his sister, Samantha Barnes; grandmother, Molly Barnes; and great-grandmother, Essie Young, all of Sulphur. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ned Barnes.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 4, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Burial will be in Dutch Cove Cemetery in Carlyss. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
