Algonquin-Paul Vincent Love, 91, of Algonquin passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at his home.
He was born November 11, 1920 in Crystal City, Missouri to Edward and Christine (Coleman) Love. On June 27, 1948 he married Hilda Hoffman at Zion Lutheran Church in Ottawa.
He worked for many years as a ledger clerk at Libbey Owens Ford Glass Factory and was active in the union there.
Paul lived in Ottawa until 12 years ago when he and his wife, Hilda, moved to the Crystal Lake area to be close to their daughter, Cindy. He was a true Renaissance man; he enjoyed history, loved music and was particularly fond of singing, published a book, and wrote many collections of poems.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda; his daughter, Cindy (Frank) Zimmerman; his granddaughters, Natalie K. Frosch and Stephanie J. (Christopher) Blaha.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Norville Love, Alma June Love, Patricia Ftacek, Helen Magre, Howard Hampton, Peter Love, Rosemarie VanderVort, and Anna Mae McConnaughhay.
Visitation will be from 11am until the 1pm funeral service on Saturday, September 22, at Zion Lutheran Church, 622 W. Jefferson St., Ottawa.
Interment will be Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa.
