Paul Rossis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He was the youngest son of Theophilos and Marguerita Rossis. He grew up in Athens and attended a private French school where he gained his primary education and also became proficient in French, German, Italian and Latin. In his early twenties he immigrated to the United States where he met Christine Mellos. They married in 1959 and were soul mates of 53 years. Christine was not only his beloved wife and mother of his children, but she was also his business partner. They were a dynamic and inseparable team.
Paul and Christine were proud owners of Xenia Tours, a successful San Diego based Travel Agency and Tour Company. Paul spoke many languages which made the travel business the perfect career choice. The tours Paul escorted included destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, South America and the United States. He especially enjoyed escorting tours to Greece where he could proudly share the love he had for his native country.
Paul had been involved in many organizations. He was a lifetime Member of the Scottish Rite and active in the Al Bahr Shrine Temple of San Diego. Other organizations he was involved with included the AHEPA, San Diego Kiwanis, and the Honorary Sheriffs Association.
Paul was a person that loved life and always put his family first. He had a tremendous sense of humor, enthusiasm and zest for life. His kind and gentle nature will be truly missed. He was the sparkle in our lives and will live in our hearts and minds forever.

Dear Ms. Rossis, Margarite, Stephanie, Michael and Family:
Please accept my heart felt sympathies on the loss of Mr. Rossis. It was always a pleasure and an honor to be in his company. He taught me a great deal upon my arrival in San Diego and for many years thereafter, during our time together on a personal basis and at Church, Ahepa, etc. I will never forget the many wonderful visits we had together. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and a friend and mentor to me and many others! He will be truly missed, may his memory be eternal and his smile be etched forever in our hearts!
With much love and respect, Dino Buzunis
