Pedro Acevedo, 80, of Waco passed away at a local Hospital on Thursday, July 19, 2012. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 22 from 5-6pm and a Rosary at 6pm at Connally-Compton Funeral Directors. A funeral service will take place on Monday, July 23 at 10am at Connally-Compton with Father Salvador Vega Alvarenga officiating.
Pedro was born in El Salvador on July 4, 1932. He loved his family, friends and country. Pedros favorite pastime was spending time with his friends and family, making hammocks, and playing dominos with his grandchildren and friends. Pedro was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a loving friend.
Pedro is preceded in death by his grandson, David Rivera.
Pedro is survived by his wife, Ernestina Acevedo; brothers, Jose, Celio, and Amadeo; sister, Abelina Acevedo; son, Pedro Acevedo and wife Zolia; daughters, Ana Moreno and husband Juan, Maria Moreno and husband Walter, Thelma Valle and husband Alfredo of El Salvador, Argelia Acevedo, Irma Moncada and husband Pepe, Patricia Gonzalez and husband Leonardo, and Gloria Rivera and husband Enrrique; grandchildren, Anna Yvette, Luis Alberto , Jimmy and Stephanie Moreno, Luis, Lizzette, Javier, and David Valle, Roberto, Martin, and Sarahi Acevedo, Genesis and Lindsey Moncada, Jacie and Jasmin Gonzalez, and Kaylee Rivera; and great-grandson Jaylen Andrew Moreno.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Providence Hospice and the staff of Brazos Kidney Center for their care of their father, Pedro Acevedo.
