I believe Peter was my mothers brother originally from Coatbridge, Scotland who died in 2004 (Anne McDowell). I spoke with Peter about five years ago to update him on my father Gordon McDowell.
So sorry to find that Peter had passed as I was hoping to contact him again on the eve of hearing of the bombing in Manchester, England (May 22, 2017). If anyone who reads this knows of relatives connected to Peter or my mom in England I would appreciate you forwarding my name and email to them. I have lost all contact with any relatives of my mom or dad in England since they never returned to England after coming to California about 1950.
Thanks!

Can't believe that one of our dearest longtime friends is no longer able to take our calls or answer cheeky emails.
Fortunately we have a dearth of wonderfully happy memories to remember our contact with your parents.
The years spent working with Peter in the design department of WZM were a delight. Peter, during quiet studio moments when all our heads were down, occasionally burst into song at full throttle, suddenly stopping with a quick little chuckle before turning to continue designing as though nothing had happened. The staff loved the interlude and the senior partners just smiled.
He managed to keep us anchored and sane, we loved him for his zest and comfortable grasp on reality.
Our visits to Toronto could always be relied upon to reunite the bonds of good companionship between friends.
This is the Peter we knew, respected and loved. Thankfully, although photographs fade, memories are forever.
Our thoughts are with you at this time of loss.
Respectfully with love

Just heard the sad news about your Father's passing. Your Father was a lovely man. I can see my Daddy and yours talking away. Wonderful memories.
