Phillip Edward Banks, age 54, of Northport, died March 21, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ed King officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Sunday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his son, Justin "Bubba" Banks; father, Edward Banks; mother, Myra "Sue" Banks; and brother, Clarence Banks.
Survivors include his daughters, Jayme Clark (Kevin), Sherry Webber (Danny), and Pam Townsend (Chad); son, Terry Townsend; brothers, Gary Banks (Darri), Glenn Banks (Faye), and Carl Banks (Pam); sister-in-law, Regina Banks; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Wilson, Dwight Norris, Robert "Grump" Tyler, David Brown, Reggie Banks, Gregory Norris, Dale Norris, and Carl Banks.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Skelton, Dr. Morr, Dr. Kumar, Dr. Chandra, and the staff of TSICU DCH.
