Phoenix Xavier Detjen, one and a half years old, died Monday at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. He was born in Gaston County, NC on January 21, 2011, and was the son of Virginia Griffin Detjen of Charlotte and Nicholas Detjen of New River Air Station, Jacksonville, NC.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, October 5, 2012 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery with Pastor Josh Peters officiating.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory are, his sister, Bella Calzadilla; maternal grandfather, Charles Griffin and wife Teresa and maternal grandmother, Cathy Griffin; paternal grandfather, John C. Detjen and wife, Joyce, and paternal grandmother, Ann L. Detjen; aunt, Brandy Griffin and grandmother, Margaret Hollyoak.
