R. Mark Acciavatti, 49, passed away August 28, 2012 at his home in Toms River. Mark was a graduate of Middletown High School South and Lincoln Technical Institute in Union. Mr. Acciavatti was a first responder for the New Jersey Natural Gas Company for many years. Everyone he met felt like they knew him for a life time. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and nephew and will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Acciavatti is predeceased by his father Joseph in 2006. R. Mark is survived by his beloved mother, Carlyn, sister, Karlyn Acciavatti and her husband Kevin Murtha, brother, Joseph and his wife Sharon, Nephew, Joseph, Niece, Hayley, two Uncles, Thomas Acciavatti and John McCormick of California, Aunt, Rosalie Graham and two dogs his Akita Medusa and Dachshund Weasel. Friends may call Sunday, September 2, 2012 from 1-6 pm at the D'Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 3, 2012 at 10:30AM at the Holy Family Church in Lakewood. Cremation will be private.
