Ramon "Raymond" Acosta passed away on January 10, 2011. He was born in Canoga Park, Ca. on August 27, 1927.
He grew up in Fresno where he raised a family with Socorro Luna and worked as a butcher at Palace Meat Market.
He is survived by sons, Frank, John and Robert Gutierrez, Raymond and Richard Acosta; daughters, Mary Sanchez, Anita Flores and Esther Queen Acosta; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home, on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Cathedral, on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
