Raymond J. Armbruster, age 81, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away Friday evening at the Golden Living Center Northcrest Nursing Home.
Born January 10, 1930 in Henry County, Ohio, the son of Raymond D. and Daisy (Brown) Armbruster. On June 20, 1953 he married Cornelia Allion and she preceded him in death on June 7, 2001.
Ray was a construction equipment operator for the former Launder and Son Construction Co. of Napoleon for 40 years, retiring in 1992. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the AMVETS Post 1313 of Napoleon.
Surviving is one brother Gary (Diana) Armbruster, McClure, Ohio; two sisters Norma Dickman and Marcella Parish, both of Napoleon.
He was preceded in death also by his parents, one brother Larry L. Armbruster and one sister Patricia Eickoff.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio, Rev. Jane Hillman, officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance Co., where military honors will be accorded by the joint veterans posts of Napoleon.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to Henry County Hospice or to a charity of the donor's choice.
