Raymond Leon "Mac" McDonald,
74, of Indianapolis walked peacefully into the arms of God on May 5, 2013 surrounded by his family. Raymond was born December 16, 1938 to Virgil and Esther (Beaker) McDonald. He graduated from Southport High School before serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from Allison Turbine in 1993 following 27 years of service. Raymond was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting and had a passion for all types of cars. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Harriet; children, Carol (Dan), Charlene (Sam), Ja-Deen (David) and Jason (Shawna); ten grandchildren; sisters, Ruth (Jack) Altop, Pauline (Brent) Heal and Lucille Westra as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Larry McDonald. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 PM Wednesday, May 8th at Little and Sons Stop Eleven Chapel. Visitation continues on Thursday from 9 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM. Interment follows at Concordia Cemetery.
