Raymond E. Spirlet, 89, of New Bedford, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Frances J. (Szklarski) Spirlet.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Henry and Bertha Spirlet, he was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Spirlet was the owner of Ray's Radiator Repair in New Bedford, retiring in 1995.
He enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and the company of his family. He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Survivors include two sons, Alan Spirlet of New Bedford and Raymond J. Spirlet of Leominster; three grandchildren, Kevin Spirlet, Pamela Hutchinson and Jennifer Kruzewski; and daughter-in-law, Celina Spirlet.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 9am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Brooklawn-Chausse Dumont Funeral Home. For online tributes: www.waring-sullivan.com
