Raymond M. Zuniga, beloved husband, father and grandfather has been called home to his Lord and Savior. Ray passed away at home surrounded by his loving wife and family on Dec. 13, 2009.
Ray was born May 16, 1938 in Oxnard. He was the oldest of five children born to Esequiel and Mary Zuniga. He was a lifelong resident of Oxnard. While attending Ventura College, Ray lettered in Cross Country Track. He also served in the National Guard and retired from Procter & Gamble in 1987.
Ray enjoyed coaching his sons at Stathem and Northside Little League and later became the number one fan of his two grandchildren sporting events. He also enjoyed barbequing poolside with his family, listening to his "Oldies" music and watching his favorite football team, Miami Dolphins.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Peter and Esequiel. In addition to his beloved wife of 48 years, Sarah, he is survived by daughter, Debbie; sons, Ray Jr. (Carol); Joseph, Steven and grandchildren Ray (Dube) and Candace. He is also survived by sisters, Rita Estrella, Gloria Rivera and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Ray's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19 at New Life Community Church at 1960 North C Street, Oxnard.
