One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each, I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints; other times there was only one.
During the lowest times of my life I could see only one set of footprints, so I said, "Lord, you promised me, that you would walk with me always. Why, when I have needed you most, would you leave me?"
The Lord replied, "My precious child, I love you and would never leave you. The times when you have seen only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

I'll never forget the day I stopped by to see Rich and Dori and they were showing me all their wedding photos and memorabilia. They truly shared a special kind of love and adored each other. We are all going to miss Rich.

I just learned of Rich's passing...my Cousin...and both Jewel and I are greatly saddened. I still remember growing up with him as the "littlest kid"at family reunions in Chicago, and then later keeping track of him through my parents, his aunt &uncle. In later years, we met when we arranged what turned out to be a final reunion between my Dad and his Mom, ..Brother and Sister-In-Law. One of the measures of him as a human being was how he cared for his Mom, my Aunt Joyce, in his Home, until she passed last year.
We hoped to visit Rich and Dori in Las Vegas. Again, so sorry...it seems to be true that "...only the Good Die Young...."

I just reread some of the conversations I had with Rich on facebook. What a great read that was... All of us old Autoplexian's had a real respect for Rich. He had a way of making you feel at ease. I am very sad to hear of Rich's passing. What a great guy. My condolences to all of his family and friends.

I have very fond memories of Rich. I first knew him as a child of about 5 or 6 years old. I was married to his sister, Connie for 22 years. He was like a little brother to me.

I had the pleasure to work with Rich as "cellular" technology was coming of age. He was a great mentor who taught me the importance of building customer relationships that can weather the storm of product outages! Although time and life separates us, our shared experiences will remain with me forever. My deepest sympathies to Rich's family.

I worked for rich in Naperville. He was the kindest and considerate manager I have ever worked for. He thought me so much about how to be sincere and care for people that you were leading. His legacy is the numbers of people that learned under his tutilage. His style is carried on by others.

I golfed in the Tuesday night league with Rich when we worked together at Lucent. He always had a smile and was a true competitor on the links. He was an admirable role model of a leader and a visionary. On behalf of all 32 members of the Tuesday night golf league at Village Links please accept our sincere condolences for your most difficult loss. Please know that we are praying for you and know that Rich is golfing in Paradise.

To Rich:
You were a sincere, kind, and wonderful person. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support and for stepping out there and giving me a chance. I am deeply saddened to hear of your untimely passing: far, far too young. It does my heart well to know that we were to spend a few minutes together during my Vegas visit last year.
And know that I fret not because you're now an angel in heaven able to do more of God's work the same ssig you did on earth. I know we will meet again someday. Rest in peace, my dear friend.

I worked on and off with Rich for the better part of 20 years. I believe he was able to accomplish things other managers didn't because he put his people first, and the "politics" second. Rich was a fine person, a good engineer and will be missed. Thank you and rest easy Rich.

As you used to tell me, we were weirdos with a weird sense of humor. I'll miss your weird emails & jokes. We'll see each other again some day in another place that won't be weird at all (but I'll still want to hear your new weird jokes when we get there).
