Richard C. (Dick) Beazell age 87 of Waynesburg died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Southwest Regional Medical Center in Waynesburg.
He was born January 15, 1925 at New Eagle, a son of the late Carl D. and Marie Weibel Beazell.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy Seabees in the South Pacific.
He was a 1951 graduate of Duquesne University School of Pharmacy.
Mr. Beazell worked as an independent pharmacist for 42 years. He was the owner of the Ullom & Baily Drug Store in Waynesburg.
He was raised as a Methodist and was a member of an independent Christian church.
Surviving are his wife Eileen Jones Beazell whom he married June 14, 1948; two sons, Rich Beazell (Nanette) of Rogersville and Randy Beazell (Joanne) of Mt. Airy, MD; 5 grandchildren, Noah Beazell (Joni), Hannah Duvall (Kenny), Makalah Beazell, Joshua Beazell (Keri), and Julee Beazell; 2 step-grandchildren, Daniel and Jackie Hood; 2 great-granddaughters, Emma and Elaina Beazell; and a brother, John Beazell of Easton, MD.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg where services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 with Rev. Carl Sprowls officiating followed by interment at Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.
