Doug Cooper, age 54, went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 27th, 2013. A resident of big, beautiful, Signal Mountain, he was a member of the Freemason's lodge and Sawyer Missionary Baptist church. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Jane Cooper. Survivors include his father Claude Cooper, sister, Clata Cooper, niece Haley Mundis, and nephew Alex Mundis along with many cousins and wonderful friends.
Doug was a joy to everyone and never met a stranger. He loved to laugh and have fun and never let his disability hinder him from living his life to the fullest.
