Richard Don Fields passed away August 30, 2013. He was born July 29, 1943 in Lubbock, TX to R.C. and Mary Ellen Fields.
Richard lived in Lubbock during his childhood and attended Texas Tech. University till he entered the Navy at 21 years old. He served 6 years during the Vietnam War. While stationed in California he met and married Diane Civiello. In 1972 they moved to Grand Prairie, TX and had twins, Ronald and Nancy.
Richard and Pamela were married in October of 1992 and lived in Grand Prairie, Texas. Richard worked for FFE Ttransportation Services, Inc.for 30 years with his last position being that of Claims Manager and retired in March of 1999. Later that year, Richard and Pamela moved to Bullhead City, AZ where in 2000 they bought and successfully ran an independent Sears Hometown Store until 2008.
Richard was a member of the Mason's in Grand Prairie for many years. He enjoyed golfing, grilling, football, music and watching NASCAR.
Richard loved the ocean and traveling. A couple times a year he would take trips with his family to Galveston and later in life he enjoying traveling to Hawaii and Aruba with his wife Pamela. Along with his family he loved his other children, his dogs; Black Jack and Honey Girl. Richard was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa and friend with a loving heart who will be missed dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents RC Fields and Mary Ellen (Fields) Tidwell and brother David Fields.
He is survived by his wife Pamela Fields, children Ronald Fields and Nancy Fields, grandson Ryan Fields, nephew Mark Fields, mother of his children Diane Civiello, in-laws Robert and Vera Hall, brother-in-law Mark Hall and many friends and family.
