Richard Alvin Guyton
LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Richard Alvin Guyton, 59, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 at Lexington Baptist Church with interment in Lexington Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. Walter Ballenger will conduct the service. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
Mr. Guyton was born on October 21, 1953 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013. He was a son of the late Leo Guyton and Betty Marsh Guyton. He coached T-ball and baseball for years. He was an avid dog lover and motorcycle enthusiast with a passion for travel.
Mr. Guyton is survived by his wife, Joyce Hobbs Guyton; sons, Jay Lewis and Kyle Guyton (Sara) and three grandchildren, Gavin, Madison and Landon Guyton; siblings, Larry Guyton (Dianne), Randy Guyton (Heather) and Janice Bass; numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Nancy Williamson.
