Richard Rhodes Powers of Granite Bay, on Sept 28 while in San Diego, was taken from us too soon at the age of 56. He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Richard Rhodes Powers of New York. He leaves behind in this world his longtime love and soulmate DeAnna Jump and her daughter Kassidy, who he loved like his own; his beloved Mother, Charlotte Lewis of Aptos, CA; his baby sister, Sandie Lewis-Huchko and brother-in-law, John also of Aptos, CA; and many friends and family members who will miss him. Those who knew him best will remember him as the self-made man, the founder of Powers & Co. Insurance Agents & Brokers, who loved his workouts, and had a personality that was larger than life. A rosary will be held at 4pm on Fri, Oct 12 at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane in Fair Oaks, with a funeral mass on Sat, Oct 13 at 10am at Divine Savior Catholic Church, 9079 Greenback Lane, with a reception in his honor following the committal service at the Lake Natoma Inn in Folsom.
