Rita Ann Hamilton Henrichs, 82, of Sarasota, formerly of Mulberry, IN, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at home following a short battle with cancer.
Born in Lafayette, IN, she was the daughter of Clifford L. and Vera L. (Kenrich) Hamilton. She married Herbert W. Henrichs on June 11, 1950 in Lafayette.
Rita was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and attended Purdue University. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and Miriam Circle, United Methodist Women, First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Herbert; her daughters, Sandra S. (Ned) Swanson of Lafayette, IN, Donna K. Vliet of Sarasota, Shirley A. LaPenna of Bradenton and a son, David W. (Renee) Henrichs of Sarasota; eight grandchildren, Beth (Andrew) Beaumont, Alan (Dara) Swanson, Marshall (Nadia) Vliet, Stacey (Stevan) Holmes, Brandon (Christen) Henrichs, Ashlee Henrichs, Andrew LaPenna, Nicholas LaPenna; and ten great grandchildren.
A celebration of Rita's life will be held 11:00am on Friday, December 14, 2012 at St. John's United Methodist Church, 6611 Proctor Rd., Sarasota with Rev. Thomas R. Fuller officiating.
