Robert (Bob) R. Anderson Sr. passed away on November 9, 2011 at the Carolina Medical Center Main in Charlotte, NC.
Bob graduated from Matthews High School in Matthews NC. He was employed as the Southern Regional Vice President of Rich Products in Buffalo, NY and the President and CEO of his own company Anderson Sales Associates in Charlotte, NC. Bob received many sales awards during his employment.Bob is a World War II veteran who served in Germany. He was honorably discharged. He was a Gunnery Instructor during the War. Furthering his experience in gunnery, he was one of the founding members of the Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club. Bob was a member of the competition team winning many top awards and honors. Bob has also instructed many Charlotte residents.
Bob was married to Margery F. Anderson who preceded him in death. He is survived by a daughter, Deborah, and a son Robert Jr. Bob has four grandchildren: Jeff (preceding him in death), Ian, Jade, and Chris. He has eight great grandchildren: Jacob, Wesley, Ethan, Kayla, Dakota, Samantha, Addison, and Zoe. The family will receive friends from 6:00 To 8:00 P. M. Friday November 11, 2011 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC 28212. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M.
