Robert B. Buhl, a lifetime Croton resident, passed away December 21, 2010 at age 90. He served as a Naval aviator in WWII. He was a locomotive engineer for 42 years, and a member of the Masons and American Legion. Serving a term as Commodore, he was a longtime member of the Croton Yacht Club. Aileen Sorenson, his wife of 51 years, predeceased him. He is survived by four grandchildren, six great-grandsons, and three children: Janice Scandalis, Rocklin CA; John Buhl, Croton; and Kristin Hilton, Meadow Vista CA. The family will receive friends Monday, December 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Croton Caring Committee.
