Robert S. Osborn, 89, of Homer, passed away Saturday February 25, 2012 at Tendercare of Marshall. He was born September 11, 1922 in Homer, Michigan to James H. and Margaret M. (Sharp) Osborn. On November 2, 1946, he was married to Bertha M. Hull and she preceded him in death June 2, 2003.
He served in the U.S Army during World War II, He was a foreman at Union Steel for 39 years; He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Homer; He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Gardening and he was an avid Michigan State Fan.
He is survived by 3 Sons Charles A. (Jacque) Osborn of Coldwater; Linn B. (Barb) Osborn and Robert E. (Sue) Osborn both of Homer; 6 Grandchildren George (Aimee) Osborn, Meagan Osborn, Joann Osborn, Caitlin Osborn, Steven Osborn and Stephanie Osborn; 1 Great Grandson Kyle; 1 Sister Marion Thurow of Marshall. He was preceded in death besides his wife Bertha by 1 Son Stephen; and 2 Sisters Mary Lou Klingaman and Geraldine Peabody.
Visitation for Friends and Family will be Monday February 27, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the ERIE STREET CHAPEL of the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 208 West Erie Street, Albion, MI 49224. Funeral Services will be Tuesday February 28, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home with Mr. George Osborn officiating. Burial will be Fairview Cemetery- Homer.
