Greensboro – Robert L. Schroll went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on November 7, 2012 at Beacon Place.
Funeral service will be held today, Friday, November 9, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Saint Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Bart Friddle officiating.
Bob was born to Samuel Lawrence Schroll and Vernie Glick Schroll on November 2, 1934, in York, PA. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was a helicopter pilot in the United States Army and served one tour of duty in Korea and two tours in Vietnam before returning to Fort Bragg, NC. After his time in the Army, Bob worked for the Greensboro Parks and Recreation, Greensboro News and Record and most recently at H&R Block.
Bob is survived by his wife Victoria Schoolfield Schroll; children, Ashley Schroll and Brandon Schroll, Helen Cope and Susan Schroll; grandchildren, Christopher and Elaine Cope, and Kayla Meyer.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, starting at 11:00 AM at Saint Paul.
