Roberta Scott, 78, of Savannah, Ga. died Friday July 4th, 2014 at her residence under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc. She was born in Savannah, Ga. As a child she moved to New York ,was raised in the Bonx and after retirement moved back to Savannah, Ga. She was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church and a volunteer for the Youth Academy for the 100 Black Men of America Savannah Chapter.
She is preceded in death by a son Derek Scott.
She is survived by her husband Bertram Scott of Savannah, Ga.; children, Kelvin Scott (Marva) of Brooklyn, N.Y., Wade Valentine of Rockaway, N.Y., Bryan Scott and Ellery Moore of Manhattan, N.Y.; sisters, Sylvia Yarrell of Palm Coast, Fl. and Winifred Wilkerson of Teaneck, N.J. and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of New York.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 am Friday July 11, 2014 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church.
Officiating will be Father Liam Collins.
