Romelia "Romie" Aguilar, 70, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012. She was born in Del Rio, Texas on January 19, 1942 and was a former resident of San Jose, California where she was a Para-Professional in Education. She was a member of the Club Estrella in Mountain View, CA, attended San Jose State to obtain her bi-lingual instructor's certificate. She is survived by her husband, Victor Aguilar Jr. of San Antonio, TX; son, Victor Aguilar III; grandchildren, Victor Aguilar IV, Monique Ashley Aguilar, Mason Brandon Aguilar, all of San Jose, CA; siblings, Estella Hernandez (Juan) of Del Rio, TX, Refugia C. Partida (and the late Eleazar) of Del Rio, Texas, Sylvia C. Gonzales of Kerrville, four nephews and five nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita Chapa Cardenas and Manual Cardenas and her sister, Laura Leticia C. Sandoval. The visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. that evening at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd. The procession will depart the funeral home on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. for Mass at 9:30 A.M. at The Basilica of The National Shrine of the Little Flower, 824 Kentucky. The interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
