Ronald James Bainter (RB), 72, also known as Pop
passed away on August 6th, 2011 at his home in
Orlando, FL surrounded by his family after a courageous
two year battle with brain cancer. RB, a retired
insurance adjuster, moved from Peoria, IL to Orlando, FL
in 1991 to be closer to his two sons. In retirement his life
revolved around spending time with his family and
grandchildren as well as being the neighborhood
handyman. He served in the United States Marine
Corps, 19th special infantries company USMC from
1956 – 1962. He was an incredibly special man who
always put others first. His loyalty, integrity, and faithfulness
were an example for us all. Even in his final days, his
amazing spirit and positive attitude shined through. He
will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by a brother and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda (Weber) Bainter,
sons Brett (Jodi) Orlando, FL and Corey (Tammy)
Vicksburg, MI, 3 grandsons who were the light of his
life, Jake, Gage and Luke and brother Steven (Linda)
Bainter. A celebration of RB's life will be held at 3:30pm
Thursday, August 11 at the Family Care Funeral Center,
13001 South John Young Parkway, Orlando FL 32837.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be
made in memory of Ron Bainter to www.a3foundation.org
(AMPUTEES ACTIVE AGAIN) or by mail to: 3160 Southgate
Commerce Blvd. Suite 34 Orlando, FL 32806 a nonprofit
foundation started by The Bainters.
